Weekly Update: A Month of Gratitude and Growth

Greetings, Parents!

I hope you’ve all been enjoying this beautiful fall weather as much as we have! Our Heroes returned from the weekend ready to learn, explore, and kick off the new month with fresh energy and focus.

Primary Studio

In the Primary Studio, we welcomed November by talking about how there are just two short months left in the year—time flies when you’re learning and growing!

Our theme for the month is “Being Thankful.” Heroes have been sharing what they’re grateful for each day and finding joy in the little things around them.

We also reviewed the four seasons and dove into many new math lessons this week, practicing number writing, simple addition, and critical thinking skills. The studio is full of energy and curiosity as our learners continue to build their confidence and love for learning!

ES Blue Studio

ES Blue Heroes have been exploring the world of economics—learning about profit and loss, and how marketing decisions can impact sales and success.

They also revisited their Studio Contract, reflecting on how they can continue to grow as individuals and as a team. A big focus this week has been understanding boundaries—when it’s okay to joke and when it’s time to be serious.

A highlight of the week was a special visit from the Salado Fire Department, complete with a firetruck! 🚒 The Heroes loved getting an up-close look and learning about fire safety from our local heroes.

ES Green Studio

The ES Green Heroes spent this week bringing their business ideas to life! They designed their business logos, worked on booth designs, and began storyboarding their commercials.

To deepen their understanding of economics, they participated in a French Fry Challenge, applying unit price principles to make strategic business decisions—let’s just say, no fries were left behind! 🍟

💰 Upper Levels Studio

Upper Levels Heroes have been collaborating with the ES Blue Studio this week, fostering leadership and mentorship between the groups.

They took on a major Civilization Challenge, working under time constraints to complete and submit their Civilization binders—with the real risk of not earning their badge if deadlines weren’t met. Every learner rose to the challenge and showed determination and focus.
