Primary Studio
Happy Friday, Primary Families!
This week, we were finally able to transfer some of our growing plants into the garden beds! 🌿 The heroes were so excited to see their hard work continue outside in the campus garden.
The rainy weather certainly didn’t stop the fun! Learners enjoyed:
- Splashing in puddles
- Playing in the mud
- Catching snails and roly-polies 🐌
The heroes have also been helping care for our campus chickens and contributing to the compost, continuing to learn responsibility through real-world experiences.
As the year comes to a close, many learners are completing:
- Reading lists
- Math workbook chapters
- Waseca drawers
With these accomplishments come lots of celebrations as Heroes earn Freedom Cards and pick prizes from the treasure box! 🎉
We also had a very exciting surprise this week when a learner redeemed a “Show & Tell” Freedom Card and introduced the studio to their pet gecko, Speedy! 😎🦎
ES Blue Studio
This week, ES Blue learners finally got the chance to race their balloon-powered cars, which was a huge highlight!
Being indoors much of the week also gave learners time to make major progress on their challenge work milestones. They especially enjoyed playing competitive trivia games with Ms. Bethany and the Primary Studio—lots of fun and lots of competitive spirit!
The studio is also excited to begin celebrating their Read-A-Thon achievements next week.
ES Green Studio
This week, ES Green Heroes tested their games with fellow learners as part of the Game Design Quest. Through this process, they practiced giving and receiving meaningful feedback, helping them make final adjustments to strengthen their game designs.
The Heroes also created and posted their official GaGa Ball Contract, promoting fair play, sportsmanship, and fun for everyone involved.
Upper Levels Studio
Upper Levels had a full and meaningful week! Learners attended a performance of
Dear Evan Hansen and engaged in thoughtful conversations afterward about themes such as identity, belonging, and connection.
