Weekly Update: Creativity, Courage, and Community

Happy Friday, Acton Families!

It has been another exciting week across all of our studios—filled with creativity, accountability, and plenty of joyful learning. Here’s a glimpse into what our Heroes have been up to:

🍂 Primary Studio

Our Primary Heroes brought fall into the studio with a leaf craft project—using the leaves they collected outside, they glued them onto painted hands and arms to create beautiful autumn trees. We also finished Book #5 of the Magic Treehouse series 📚 and introduced a new afternoon tradition: Animal Charades 🦁🐰—a hit with everyone!

The studio continues to buzz with joy, laughter, and creativity as Heroes learn through play and exploration. 

🎂 ES Blue Studio

This week, ES Blue Heroes focused on an important lesson in accountability. While they deeply value giving second chances, they realized that sometimes it takes courageous choices to set boundaries and hold peers accountable. It was inspiring to watch them lean into their promises and practice real-world responsibility.

Alongside this, Heroes finalized and delivered their Field Trip Pitches—and their presentations were incredibly convincing! We can’t wait to see where their ideas will lead.

🏃 ES Green Studio

ES Green Heroes wrapped up their End of Year Trip Pitches this week. They had the opportunity to present their proposals to the Upper Level Heroes, who gave warm and cool feedback along with words of encouragement. It was a beautiful example of collaboration across studios, with Heroes both supporting and challenging one another to grow.

🍲 Upper Levels Studio

Upper Levels chefs took on their Cooking Quest entrée challenge, working with the mystery ingredients of beets, rice, anchovies, and canned soup 🥬🍚🐟🥫. The creativity and teamwork in the kitchen were as impressive as ever!

In Civilization, learners wrestled with a big and timeless question:
💭 Do civilizations collapse because of internal weaknesses, or because of outside pressures?
This sparked thoughtful discussion and debate, connecting history to big ideas still relevant today.
