Weekly Update:Growing, Exploring & New Adventures in Learning

It has been a beautiful week of rain and sunshine, creating the perfect conditions for some exciting hands-on learning across our studios.

A Gentle Reminder About Morning Drop-Off

While we do not take formal attendance at Acton, our time together each morning is intentional and meaningful. We kindly ask that learners be dropped off by 8:30 AM so they can fully engage in the start of their day.

Arriving on time helps your learner settle in smoothly and allows the studio to maintain a focused, uninterrupted flow. When learners arrive late, it can be challenging for them to transition into their work and may disrupt the rhythm of the studio for others.

Our mornings often begin with Launches or Morning Business, where important information, goal-setting, and community building take place. Missing this time can mean missing key moments that set the tone for the entire day.

If you are unable to arrive by 8:30 AM, we kindly ask that you plan for a later drop-off between 11:00 AM–12:00 PM.

We truly appreciate your partnership in honoring the time and rhythm of our studios. Your support helps protect a focused and respectful learning environment for all.

Thank you for being such an important part of our community!

Ms Amy

Greetings Primary Parents—Happy Friday!

Primary Studio

The Primary heroes have been loving the weather and spending time in our campus garden! This week, they worked together to weed their garden bed and plant seeds. We are hopeful to grow:

  •  🌿 Basil
  •  🌼 Daisies
  •  🥒 Cucumbers
  •  🌱 Peas
  •  🌶️ Peppers
We also began exploring the continent of Asia! So far, learners have discussed the climate, painted maps, and discovered the animals that live there. Their curiosity continues to grow right alongside our garden!

ES Blue Studio

ES Blue launched their new Physics Quest, diving into the laws of motion by designing and building balloon-powered cars.

This challenge required learners to practice negotiation and compromise within their teams—important real-world skills!

The studio is also loving GaGa Ball, though it came with some important lessons this week:
👉 Learning to respect the referee
👉 Understanding that losing gracefully is part of the game

ES Green Studio

The ES Green heroes began the new session by getting organized and working together to establish studio systems and expectations during Town Hall.

A big highlight this week was celebrating learners who completed Badge Plan milestones—huge accomplishments that reflect hard work and dedication. Way to go, Lions! 🦁

Upper Levels Studio

Upper Levels kicked off an exciting new phase of their Physics Quest! Each learner will choose a branch of physics that interests them and:

  •  Conduct experiments
  •  Build prototypes
  •  Record and analyze findings
This session also brings exciting incentives! Learners will have the opportunity to earn:

  •  🎬 A trip to the movies
  •  🎭 A chance to see Dear Evan Hansen
  •  🏖️ An end-of-year beach trip

📅 Upcoming Dates

  • April 7: High Tea for Moms
  • April 20: Moms’ Night Out
  • April 22: Earth Day 🌎
  • May 1: ES Green & ES Blue Exhibitions & Campout

Thank you for your continued partnership as we nurture growth, curiosity, and community in every studio. Have a wonderful weekend! 🌷
