Weekly Update – Happy Spring Break! 🌷

As we head into Spring Break, it has been a wonderful week across all of our studios!

Primary Studio

This week we wrapped up our exploration of Africa and finished Book #14 of the Magic Tree House series. The heroes have also been having thoughtful conversations about kindness and what it means to be a good friend, which has been wonderful to witness in the studio.

A big congratulations to Olivia, who received the most votes from her peers and was named Studio Champion this week! She celebrated by choosing a surprise from the treasure box. 🎉

We also want to share an important update for the studio. Both the indoor studio door and the outdoor door will need to be replaced. To help offset the cost, we will be hosting a few fundraisers.

Our first fundraiser will be a Used Book Sale during the next two exhibitions.
📚 Books will be sold for $1 each.

If you have gently used books you would like to donate, please let us know! We appreciate any support and help spreading the word.

ES Blue

ES Blue heroes worked hard this week practicing handwriting skills, focusing on keeping their letters neatly within the lines.

During Quest, learners explored survival skills and designed their own shelter models, thinking about the key elements needed to stay safe in the wild.

We also had important discussions about respecting personal boundaries and keeping our hands to ourselves, continuing to build a respectful studio culture.

📌 Reminder: Please sign up for Journey Meetings through ClassDojo.

ES Green

The ES Green heroes had an incredibly productive week! Many learners worked diligently toward their year-level badge goals and are getting closer to completing their plans.

The heroes also organized and hosted their own Spring Break Party, showing great teamwork and leadership while creating fun memories together as a tribe.

Like Primary, ES Green will also be supporting the Used Book Sale fundraiser to help replace the studio doors. If you have books to donate, we would love to include them!

Upper Levels

Upper Levels continued their Electricity Quest, focusing on resistors and how circuits behave in parallel and series.

Learners experimented with building more complex circuits and began incorporating multiple light bulbs to power and illuminate their projects.

The studio also held their first city planning inspection, where learners reviewed progress on their designs and discussed how their projects are evolving.
