Weekly Update: Winter Cheer & Year-End Momentum!
Primary Studio
Happy Friday!
This week in Primary, we continued our exploration of Europe, created festive winter and holiday crafts, and finished Book #9 of The Magic Treehouse. We also spent time practicing positive conflict resolution, focusing on how to communicate our feelings with words.

It has been incredibly rewarding to see the heroes grow in confidence—choosing communication over shutting down or reacting physically. Their courage and kindness truly shine. ☺️
With just one week left until Winter Break, many families may be traveling. If your child will miss any days next week, please let me know so I can plan lessons accordingly.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

ES Blue Studio
ES Blue continued their Cartography Voyages, deepening their understanding of world geography. This week, we explored the Australian Dreamtime story of the Rainbow Serpent, diving into its cultural significance.
The heroes also loved learning about Aboriginal dot painting, and they have been practicing their artwork in preparation for Exhibition. Their creativity and excitement are contagious!
ES Green Studio
This week, ES Green heroes completed their drafts for their Myth Adventure Stories. They practiced giving and receiving meaningful peer critiques, applying the 3 BE’s:
-
Be Kind
-
Be Specific
-
Be Helpful
We are proud of how thoughtfully they supported one another.
The tribe also began planning their Holiday Party for next Thursday—mind-mapping ideas, organizing responsibilities, and collaborating beautifully as a team.
Upper Levels
Upper Levels returned to the studio with a surprise—a playful prank from Discover Studio! After a fun start, they jumped into filming their McCarthy Trials and continued their deep dive into the Cold War.
In the spirit of the season, the heroes collectively chose to exchange homemade gifts this year, valuing intentionality, creativity, and thoughtfulness over store-bought items.
Children’s Business Fair Acknowledgment
A huge congratulations to all of our Children’s Business Fair participants!
It was a wonderful evening full of innovation, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit. We are so proud of each hero who stepped up to share their creations with the community.
